With a semi-private entrance, the spacious master suite boasts beautiful wood floors, vaulted ceilings, and bright clerestory windows. The 15x24 room has a private and recently updated bathroom plus two closets (one a walk-in with fantastic shelves and closet system). The suite includes a private living area and comes equipped with ceiling fan, full-size bed, two dressers, desk & chair, side table, ottoman, lamps, and a large sectional sofa with room to spare! Microwave, television, and small fridge (with freezer) are also available.

The updated midcentury modern home is on a tree-lined street in the fabulous residential neighborhood of Westbury. With 2100 total square feet, the house has a den, living/dining room, laundry, remodeled kitchen, and ample outdoor space with a patio and fenced backyard. Off-street parking is available. Home has security system and is surrounded by friendly neighbors and is not located in a flood plain. Home is also walking distance to neighborhood park with community pool and is convenient to bus routes 8, 10, and 47 (10 goes straight to Texas Medical Center with no transfers). Drive time to Rice/Med Center is about 15 minutes.

Details
Seeking clean, considerate, and reliable non-smoking housemate with valid proof of income. Female preferred; males may be considered. Many small to medium-sized, well-behaved pets may be welcome. Note that owner has cats (which can be kept out of room, if desired).
General house maintenance including yard work will be taken care of by owner, but roommate will be responsible for cleaning their room and bathroom and should clean up after herself in shared spaces.
Monthly rent is $800 and includes furnished room, utilities, wifi internet, laundry access, and use of the home's outdoor spaces and common areas. Off-street parking is available. Rent can be pro-rated for move-in prior to first of the month. Refundable deposit is standard one-month's rent ($795). 12-month lease preferred, but other terms considered. Completed application and background check required.

Owner is single, professional female and native Houstonian who enjoys the outdoors, performing arts, and unique design.
